Wreath is one of the important Christmas decorations in
celebrating Christmas. They had different prices in the market based on their
sizes and shapes. While other prefers to purchase wreath in the market, there
are some makes their own personalized and homemade wreaths. Reasons are: in
order to save money, to add more fun and enjoyment in celebrating Christmas, to
sharpen creativity and the most important, it can be a way to bond with your
family when you are making those Christmas decorations together. So if like to
be little bit frugal this Christmas, you can consider some instruction in
making those homemade Christmas wreaths.
Examples and Steps on How to Make
Christmas Wreath
Candy Christmas wreath
Materials needed:
- Wire Hanger
- Wire Cutters
- Wrapped Candy
- Curling or regular Ribbon
- Scissors
Procedures:
- Unbend the wire hanger and measure about 12 inches then cut as the base of the Christmas wreath. Make a circle shape out of the wire have been cut earlier by bending it. Combine the two ends by twisting them together.
- When you have already the wreath base, its time to add you wrapped candies. You can use any of the wrapped candy you like. Remember, the number of the wrapped candies is depending on the size of the base of Christmas wreath.
- Then, cut out the ribbon from approximately 8 inches long. Tie
a piece of candy at the center part of the ribbon. Use the ribbon as
string to tie the candies tightly into the base of the wreath. Continue this process, until the wreath
is full of candies you like.
- Cut a piece of ribbon as the hanger of the wreath. Lastly, you can now hang it on the place you like such as in the entrance, door, windows, etc.
Recycled Christmas Wreath
Materials needed:
- Paper plate
- Gift wrapper, tissue paper, ribbons
- Glue
- Tape
Procedures:
- Make a hole into the center part of the paper plate. You can use the CD as guide or tracer.
- Apply the glue into the paper plate. Now its time for the decorating process. You can decorate together with your kids by putting the tissue paper, ribbons and gift wrapper and other.
- Cut out and tape a piece of ribbon at the back of the plate, as the hanger.
